What changes with Sarraf Store?

Why does the end of day not add up?

A single cash total says nothing about a jeweler's desk that holds both gold and currency.

Today

One total and a day-end ledger

  1. Gold and currency are converted and written down

A move in the rate looks like a cash difference and hides the real one.

  2. A correction is made by deleting

The record that does not add up is edited, and why it changed stays with nobody.

  3. Who opened it and when is unclear

The start of the cash day and its count are not on record.

There is a total, but not how much of which asset.

With Sarraf Store

Sarraf Store cash cards

  1. Asset-level balances

Each asset is kept in its own unit; a rate move is not counted as a cash difference.

  2. Balance corrections with a reason

The target balance is entered, the calculated difference is shown and the reason is recorded.

  3. Session history

Cash opening counts and sessions are listed with their statuses.

Every asset apart, every difference with a reason.

What's included

What is in the cash and bank section?

The eleven topics of the section are explained with screenshots in the guide.

  • Cash and account balances

Asset-level balances on the cash cards; finding an account by search and filter.

  • Balance change chart

The change in a cash desk's balance is tracked on a chart for the period you pick.

  • Cash entry and exit

An asset and a quantity are entered, an asset is added for a multi-row transaction, and a description is written.

  • Transfers between cash desks

The target desk is picked; saving creates the exit from the source and the entry into the target together.

  • Cash opening count

The counted quantity is entered, the difference against the expected quantity is compared and a reason is written.

  • Finding a movement record

The right record is found by date, direction and amount, and Inspect opens the detail.

No. In the new balance field you enter the total quantity that should be in the desk, not the difference. The screen shows the current balance and the calculated difference; you write the reason for the correction and save.
